What kind of birth, not just whether
A live birth rate tells you how often a transfer worked. It does not tell you whether the result was one baby or twins, and that difference carries most of the medical risk in IVF. The CDC publishes both figures. Clinics advertise only the first.

Single embryo transfer has become standard practice and these numbers show it: most clinics now report no multiple births at all from donor eggs. A figure near zero is normal and good, not a sign of a weak programme.
